Camden Fairview advances to playoffs with win over McClellan 13-12

Camden Fairview put a nail in the McClellan Lion’s  coffin with a scoop and score in the thrid quarter and the Cardinals defeated McClellan 13-12 at McClellan.

It was the last game ever for McClellan, they are merging with other schools next year.

The field was a frozen tundra. the epic play happend with the Lions from McClellan on offense. Camden Fairview’s Javien Clemmer picked up a fumble by McClellan running back Jeremiah Aikins. Clemmer rumbled and bumbled 30 yards for a touchdown. Clemmer likes to scoop and score. Friday night was Clemmer’s second return of a fumble for a touchdown in the past two games.

Camden Fairview clinches the playoff birth with the win

The Camden Fairview Cardinals(6-4, 5-2 5A-South) earned the No. 4 seed in the 5A-South. The Cards quest for a state title begins with the first round of the playoffs next week.

McCllellan lost 6 games this year by a total of 11 points.

The Cardinals better buckle up their chin straps. The Cards play their first playoff game at Little Rock Christian Academy next Friday November 15th at 7 p.m.
